The Ministry of Unification has vowed the safe return of its nationals from the Gaeseong Industrial Complex, following the North's sudden announcement to expel all South Korean employees. 
 
The measure follows an announcement by the North's Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of the Fatherland that all South Korean nationals would be expelled by 5:30 p.m. Korea Standard Time and all assets in the complex frozen. 
 
In the statement, the North Korean committee ordered South Korean employees leave with only their personal belongings, and that all remaining products and supplies managed by Gaeseong city.
