North Korea's planned long-range missile test is expected to put its rocket on a trajectory over the Yellow Sea to the Pacific Ocean near Luzon Island in the northern Philippines.
Japanese public broadcaster NHK and other media outlets on Wednesday reported that the first stage of the North Korean rocket will fall in the Yellow Sea and the rocket's fairing in waters southwest of Jeju Island.
Citing the North's telegram to the International Maritime Organization(IMO), Japanese media also said that the second stage of the rocket will fall in the Pacific near the Philippines.
They said it is also possible the rocket will pass near Japan's Sakishima Islands of Okinawa Prefecture.
Japanese media presumed from the expected route announced by the North that the rocket will be launched in the southwestern direction from the Sohae Satellite Launching Station in Cholsan County, North Pyongan Province.
