Gov't to Penalize Public Institutions Not Adopting Merit-Based Pay

The government says that public financial institutions that do not follow recommendations of financial authorities will incur financial disadvantages.

The Financial Services Commission (FSC) on Wednesday finalized budget for this year for six public financial institutions.

The FSC set this year’s labor cost-increase rate for the six institutions at between one-and-a-half percent to two-point-two percent.

However, public financial institutions which fail to carry out the FSC’s recommendations, such as the merit-based pay system, will see the increase rate halved.
