KOSPI Rises as Oil Prices Jump

South Korea's main stock index rose as international oil prices jumped. 

The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) on Wednesday rose 26-point-18 points, or one-point-40 percent, to finish at one-thousand-897-point-87. 

The KOSDAQ, loaded with technology companies, dropped three-point-60 points, or zero-point-53 percent, to 675-point-25. 

On the Seoul foreign exchange market, the local currency appreciated two-point-two won against the greenback to close at one-thousand-202 won.
