S. Korean Ports Processed Record Cargo Volume in 2015

South Korean ports processed an all-time high of one-point-44 billion tons of cargo last year.
 
The Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries said on Tuesday that cargo volume increased at the ports of Busan, Incheon and Daesan, while Pohang, Mokpo, Pyeongtaek saw volume decrease in 2015.
 
Among the processed items, timber marked the largest growth at 28 percent, followed by sand and automobiles.
 
Busan Port ranked sixth in the world in terms of the processed cargo volume last year.
