The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport revealed on Tuesday its road map for commercializing drones for industrial fields by 2020.
 
Under the plan, drones will be used in the transportation of goods, forest conservation, land survey, as well as safety inspection of facilities and agricultural support, among other areas.
 
The ministry will launch related trial projects next month.
 
The ministry earlier selected Korean Air, CJ Korea Express, Hyundai Logistics and 12 other businesses that will participate in the test projects. 

The ministry also designated five areas to conduct the projects, including Yeongwol in Gangwon Province and Wansan in Jeonju.
