KCTU Vows to Proceed with Nationwide Protest

The Korean Confederation of Trade Unions(KCTU) vowed to begin an all-out strike from noon Monday.

The KCTU strikes nationwide will protest the government’s proposed reforms that labor leaders say could lead to mass layoffs.

The KCTU ordered members to hold daily rallies starting Monday and hold a mass protest either Friday or Saturday in the capital.

The Federation of Korean Trade Unions(FKTU) will also mull long-term plans and possible legal responses to government orders to overhaul labor rules that oversee wages, work schedules, and work conditions.
