'S. Korea's IT Spending to Rise 2.4% This Year'

South Korea's spending on information technology (IT) goods and services is expected to grow two-point-four percent this year.
 
This is according to global IT consulting firm Gartner Inc. The industry tracker said that South Korea's IT-related spending is expected to rise two-point-four percent this year to some 86-point-one trillion won.
 
Expenditures on fixed-line and mobile communication services are projected to account for most of the spending at 40-point-eight trillion won, followed by smartphones, personal computers and other gadgets at 17-point-seven trillion won.
 
Worldwide IT spending in 2016 is estimated to reach four-point-two quadrillion won.
