Hyundai, Kia Set Sales Record in Europe in 2015

Hyundai Motor and its sister company Kia Motors posted record sales in Europe last year.

According to the European Automobile Manufacturers’ Association, Hyundai and Kia sold a combined 854-thousand-900 units in the European market last year, up nearly ten percent from 2014.

The South Korean carmakers captured a share of six-point-02 percent in the European market in 2015. It marked the first time in two years that their market share bounced back to the six-percent level.

The companies said that the sales growth was propelled by the growing popularity of the new Hyundai sports-utility vehicle Tucson that hit the market in the second half of last year.
