The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) on Monday closed nearly unchanged from Friday's closing, ending zero-point-42 points or zero-point-02 percent lower to finish at one-thousand-878-point-45.

The tech-heavy KOSDAQ, on the other hand, added five-point-20 points, or zero-point-77 percent, to 683-point-63.

On the foreign exchange market, the local currency appreciated two-point-five won against the greenback to close at one-thousand-210-point-nine won.
