North Korea has announced that it will not participate in the World Table Tennis Championships because of SARS. North Korea was scheduled to send six players to the tournament which starts in Paris on Monday. South Korean officials had hoped to meet North Korean officials to discuss inter-Korean sports exchanges, including the creation of the Korea Peace Cup table tennis tournament.
