Tokyo and Osaka were the most popular overseas destinations for South Koreans this year.
 
Online travel agency Interpark Tour said on Tuesday that Tokyo and Osaka came in first and second, on the list of overseas destinations visited by South Koreans.
 
The agency released the list after analyzing four-point-46 million tickets for international flights booked on its web site from January to December 15.
 
Hong Kong ranked third, followed by Bangkok, Taipei, Shanghai, Fukuoka and London.
 
The popularity of Japanese cities is attributed to the weak yen and drop in airfares due to intensifying competition among airlines.
