Full Moon on Christmas for First Time Since 1977

This year’s Christmas will likely feature a full moon instead of white snow.

The Korea Astronomy and Space Science Institute and the Korea Meteorological Administration said on Wednesday that a full moon will rise on Christmas on Friday for the first time since 1977.

A full moon on Christmas is called a “lucky moon” among scientists and the distribution industry as they are believed to bring good luck.

The weather agency said that the nation will have a clear and warm day on Friday with a full moon visible in most regions.
