KOSPI Ends Just Shy of 2,000

The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) ended just shy of the two-thousand-point threshold on Wednesday, climbing six-point-66 points, or zero-point-33 percent, to finish the trading day at one-thousand-999-point-22.

The tech-heavy KOSDAQ was down three-point-82 points, or zero-point-58 percent, ending at 659-point-60. 

On the Seoul foreign exchange market, the value of the local currency strengthened two-tenths of a won against the U.S. dollar, to close at one-thousand-173-point-one won.
