KOSPI Rises; KOSDAQ Slips

The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) rose on Tuesday as institutional investors bought shares toward the end of the trading day. 
 
The main index added eleven-point-37 points, or zero-point-57 percent, to close at one-thousand-992-point-56.
 
The KOSDAQ, home to many technology firms, lost five-point-23 points, or zero-point-78 percent, to finish at 663-point-42. 
 
On the Seoul foreign exchange market, the value of the local currency strengthened four-point-three won against the U.S. dollar, ending at one-thousand-173-point-three won.
