Jeju Farm Produces European Citrus “Clementine”

A farm in Jeju Island has produced a European citrus fruit for the first time.

Agricultural company “Jeju Dama” harvested 15 tons of the European citrus fruit “Clementine” through Tuesday at a farm measuring six-thousand-600 square meters in Seogwipo.

Mainly produced in Spain, Clementine is called the orange of Christmas in North America.

The fruit is seedless and easy to peel. With one-point-two times more vitamin C, they are sweeter and less acidic than oranges.

With its exterior color rarely changing, the fruit is often used for decorative purposes. It is also used as an ingredient for making soap or perfume due to its unique scent.
