The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) managed to rise further on Thursday as market uncertainties subsided after the U.S. Fed raised its key interest rate as expected.

The main index added eight-point-56 points, or zero-point-43 percent, to close at one-thousand-977-point-96. However, retail and foreign investors continued to sell, together offloading 245-point-three billion won worth of shares.

The tech-heavy KOSDAQ also gained ten-point-84 points, or one-point-67 percent, to 658-point-11.

On the Seoul foreign exchange market, the value of the local currency weakened three-point-nine won against the greenback to one-thousand-180-point-one won.
