The Korea Employers Federation vowed to sternly respond to a general strike planned for Wednesday by the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions.
 
The federation said in a statement on Monday that it regards the planned event as a clearly illegal strike.
 
The group said if labor unions take part in the strike in line with instructions from senior organizations, they will be required to assume responsibility.
 
The federation said businesses must apply the principle of no work, no pay for workers who take part in the strike. It also called on businesses to prevent the recurrence of illegal activities and block the spread of related damages.
