S. Korea, Italy Agree to Support Joint Science Technology Research Projects

South Korea and Italy have agreed to support joint research projects on science and technology.

The Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning and Italy’s government signed an agreement to that effect on Wednesday at the Italian Embassy in Seoul.

Under the agreement, the two nations plan to support joint research projects over the next three years in six areas including basic science, biotechnology and information and telecommunications.

The two sides agreed to pursue the joint projects in line with their 2012 agreement to expand exchanges between researchers and seek joint research projects.
