A domestic study finds that South Korean mobile carriers provide the best cell phone service in the world.
The Korea Telecommunications Operators Association presented the results on Tuesday after conducting a survey on cell phone service quality in 13 cities of eleven countries between May and November and comparing the results with the government’s study on domestic mobile carriers.
The average download speed of the broadband long-term evolution (LTE) service provided by local carriers was 77-point-eight megabits per second, while the average upload speed marked 26-point-nine megabits per second. The phone-call success rate reached 99-point-seven percent.
These figures are much better than those for Stockholm in Sweden, which was found to be the provider of the best cell phone service among other cities.
The average download speed of the broadband LTE service in the Swedish city marked 48-point-two megabits per second, with the upload speed at 21-point-nine megabits per second. The phone-call success rate marked 96-point-five percent.
