Agency Develops Technology that Automatically Classifies Malicious Codes

The Korea Internet and Security Agency announced Friday that it successfully developed technology that automatically sorts out malicious codes of similar patterns from a large volume of malicious codes.

The technology has applied the profiling theory, which views people committing similar crimes as having shared personalities, to analyzing malicious codes.

Under the existing analysis method, a limited number of experts manually screen the codes, posing limitations on distinguishing mutations.

The Internet and Security Agency will first try out the technology on a trial basis after which it will be distributed to the private sector for commercialization.
