The Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) has prepared diverse programs and forums for its “2015 Development Cooperation Week” set for next week.
The South Korean official development assistance (ODA) agency said it will hold the 29th Development Cooperation Forum from next Monday to Thursday to discuss its mid- and long-term strategies to implement sustainable development goals.
The agency and women’s associations from the Asia Pacific regions will hold a forum next Tuesday and Wednesday to discuss ways to achieve sustainable development goals and enhance women’s leadership in the region.
The KOICA will hold an opening ceremony of an exhibition next Tuesday at the War Memorial of Korea in Seoul to show how South Korea has evolved from an aid-receiving country to a donor country.
The exhibition will run through November 29.
In addition, the agency plans to hold a ceremony next Wednesday to mark November 25, the sixth Development Assistance Day.
Several awards ceremonies will also be held that day, including one for global volunteering.
Korea joined the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development’s Development Assistance Committee (DAC) on November 25, 2009.
