KOSPI Dips While KOSDAQ Gains

The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) declined on Thursday, losing three-point-91 points or zero-point-20 percent, to one-thousand-993-point-36. 

The tech-heavy KOSDAQ, meanwhile, added five-point-78 points, or zero-point-87 percent, to 672-point-99. 
 
The stock market opened and closed an hour later than usual on Thursday due to the nationwide college entrance exam.
 
On the Seoul foreign exchange market, the value of the local currency weakened three-point-three won against the U.S. dollar, to close at one-thousand-158-point-two won.
