Presidential Council Drafting Sisterhood Plan for Inter-Korean Cities

The National Unification Advisory Council says it is drawing up a plan to create sisterhood relationships between inter-Korean cities and provinces.

Secretary-General Park Chan-bong of the presidential advisory body told reporters on Tuesday that the council is reviewing a plan in which South Korean cities and provinces would establish sisterhood relationships and provide support for their North Korean counterparts.

Park said that the plan will become more concrete by mid-December.
In July, the council announced it would seek the plan on sisterhood relations in order to overcome obstacles to reunification of the two Koreas.
