Written: 2015-11-10 10:16:21Updated: 2015-11-10 10:20:29

The retail industry will offer one month of discounted prices to lure year-end shoppers, following last month's government-led Korea Black Friday.

The Federation of Distribution Industry said it will kick off K-Sale Day on November 20, which will be held for 26 days until December 15.

The association said it will seek the voluntary participation of the retail industry, including department stores, discount stores, convenience stores and traditional markets, as well as the manufacturing and service sectors, such as apparel and electronics goods makers and restaurants.

Stores wishing to participate in the event may apply online on the association's Web site. Information on participating stores, items on sale and discount rates will be disclosed on the Web site at a later date.
