Foreign investment firms picked Pohang in North Gyeongsang Province as most satisfactory in terms of regulatory administration and Cheonan in South Chungcheong Province as having the friendliest environment for foreign investors.
 
That’s according to a survey carried out by the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry on some 15-hundred foreign firms nationwide.
 
Other than Pohang, Yeongcheon in North Gyeongsang Province, Gwangyang in South Jeolla Province and Gunsan in North Jeolla Province were best in terms of business sentiment which gauges foreign investors’ subjective satisfaction over regulatory administration.
 
Other than Cheonan, eleven local governments received high marks in terms of having friendly environments for foreign investors. Among the eleven were Gumi in North Gyeongsang Province, Changwon in South Gyeongsang Province and Dalseong in Daegu.
