Global Crackdown Led by S. Korea Uncovers 8.8 Tons of Drugs

A global crackdown led by South Korea has uncovered eight-point-eight tons of illegal drugs.
 
The Korea Customs Service said the crackdown conducted last month led to the discovery of eight-thousand-770 kilograms of drugs from around the world, including one-thousand-132 kilograms of new drug varieties.
 
The customs agency said the uncovered drugs could be used by more than 200 million people.
 
The crackdown, which was proposed by the customs service, saw the participation of five international organizations, including the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, and 94 customs agencies.
