Volcanic Activity Forecast Near Bali, Korean Air Delays Flights

Korean Air has delayed a flight to Bali as volcanic activity has again been forecast near the Indonesian island on Friday night.

Korean Air said that its KE629 flight that was supposed to depart at 6 p.m. Friday has been delayed to 9:30 a.m. Saturday morning.

A KE630 flight returning from Bali will also be pushed back a day.

The Bali Ngurah Rai International Airport had to be shut down earlier after a volcano erupted in a nearby island. However it reopened at 3:30 p.m. Thursday as the site near the airport cleared up.

With more volcanic activity forecast for Friday night, the airport could be closed again.
