No Progress on Holding Inter-Korean Talks

The South Korean government has been working to hold talks with North Korea, to no avail.

Unification Ministry Spokesman Jeong Joon-hee said there has been no agreement or progress on holding an inter-Korean government dialogue.

The efforts come on the heels of President Park Geun-hye urging to swiftly hold inter-Korean government-level talks.

At the regular press briefing, the spokesperson stopped short of answering whether there were exchanges of proposals between the two Koreas.

Chung said efforts are being made and that details will be revealed at an appropriate time.
