Inter-Korean family reunions are underway at the Mount Geumgang resort in North Korea.
On the second day of the reunions on Wednesday, a total of 398 South Koreans have been spending time with some 141 family members from North Korea at the reunion center in the resort from 4:30 p.m.
The participants met in the morning and had lunch together after an emotional first day of reunions yesterday.
In the closed morning meetings on Wednesday, the participants exchanged gifts. Those from the South brought medicine and winter coats, while those from the North brought liquor and local products.
Participants will be allowed to meet six times over three days for a total of 12 hours. The final meetings are set for Thursday morning.
Another group of 255 South Korean participants will depart for Mount Geumgang on Saturday as 90 separated families will be reunited.
