A Unification Ministry official told reporters on Thursday that no signs have been detected that suggest a rocket launch by North Korea is imminent.
 
The official said that the government is closely watching the North. 
 
On any particular movements involving people or materials, the official said he could not go into detail as the matters are related to intelligence.
 
The official’s remarks come after the possibility emerged that the North is set to soon launch a long-range rocket. Such possibility arose after the North revealed its new satellite control center for the first time to a CNN reporter on Wednesday.
