Two Koreas Agree to Promote Football Exchanges

South and North Korea have agreed in principle to promote inter-Korean football exchanges.

Korea Football Association President Chung Mong-gyu said he held a meeting with his North Korean counterpart Ri Yong-nam on Saturday in the North, during which they agreed to enhance such exchanges, such as joint training between under 20 national football teams, friendly matches between professional teams and sharing skills.

Chung returned home on Monday after also attending the East Asian Football Federation's executive committee meeting in the North Korean capital.

He added that the two sides agreed to hold further talks in order to implement the agreement reached in the latest meeting.
