Koreas Exchange List of Candidates for Family Reunions

The two Koreas have exchanged preliminary lists of candidates for inter-Korean family reunions set for late October.

The South Korean Red Cross said that it delivered through the truce village liaison office a list of 200 North Koreans and 50 South Korean prisoners of war to determine their living status before the reunions.

The North on its part gave the South 200 names.

The two Koreas will exchange the living status of reunion candidates on October 5. A final list of 100 participants from each side will be exchanged on October 8.

The inter-Korean family reunions are set to take place at the North’s scenic Mount Geumgang resort for seven days starting from October 20.
