The government has decided to invest about one-point-nine trillion won next year to foster the industries of information and communications technologies (ICT).
 
The Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning said on Tuesday that it had finalized a plan to promote ICT industries in a strategy meeting held the previous day.
 
The plan focuses on technical development and construction of infrastructure for five-generation (5G) mobile networks.
 
In addition, the government will support small businesses and venture firms seeking business in the Internet of Things.
