Two Koreas to Hold Red Cross Talks on Sep. 7

North Korea has accepted the South Korean Red Cross' offer to hold working-level talks on September 7 to discuss details of reunions for families separated by the Korean War.

The Unification Ministry in Seoul said that it received a letter of acceptance from the North’s Red Cross through the liaison office at the truce village of Panmunjom around 1 p.m. Saturday.

Accordingly, the two sides are expected to discuss details of the reunions, including the date and venue and the number of participants.

It would mark the first inter-Korean Red Cross talks in one year and seven months since the two sides held similar talks before the family reunions held in February last year.
