Gaeseong Park Schedule Pushed Back 30 Minutes

The schedule for crossing the inter-Korean border to enter the Gaeseong Industrial Complex will be pushed back by half an hour starting Monday, following North Korea’s implementation of Pyongyang Time.

A Unification Ministry official said the first border-crossing time will be pushed back by 30 minutes to 9 a.m., while the last scheduled crossing will be at 5:30 p.m.

The official said considering that South Korean employees work at the inter-Korean park in the North, the schedule will be adjusted to prevent any confusion regarding Pyongyang's new time zone.

North Korea set its clocks back by 30 minutes on Liberation Day on Saturday, after announcing its plan to implement the new time zone on August 7. On Friday, the North advised South Korea to change the departure and arrival times at Gaeseong in line with Pyongyang Time.
