Heat Wave Advisories Lifted

Heat wave advisories issued across the nation were all lifted as of 6 p.m. Monday as the scorching heat is expected to abate from Tuesday.

The Korea Meteorological Administration said Monday that the nation will see a very cloudy day on Tuesday, forecasting rains in Chungcheong Province and southern parts of the nation in the afternoon.

The weather agency expected afternoon highs on Tuesday to be between 28 degrees Celsius and 32 degrees Celsius.

This year's first heat wave advisories were issued for the southern areas on July 25 and spread nationwide for 17 days.
