Former First Lady to Visit Exhibition Hall, Temple in Mount Myohyang

Former first lady Lee Hee-ho will visit an exhibition hall and a temple at Mount Myohyang in North Korea on Friday.

The International Friendship Exhibition Hall displays gifts to former North Korean leaders Kim Il-sung and Kim Jong-il from foreign envoys. Bohyun Temple is considered one of the five landmark temples on the Korean Peninsula.

There is still no indication about whether the former first lady will meet with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un.

However, as Lee has completed her initial schedule, observers say the meeting could take place without notice.

On Thursday, the widow of former President Kim Dae-jung visited orphanages and a senior home in Pyongyang, where she delivered knitted hats, scarves and medical supplies.

The former first lady will return to South Korea on a chartered flight on Saturday.
