Ruling Saenuri Chief Hopeful about Lee's Pyongyang Visit

Ruling Saenuri Party Chairman Kim Moo-sung said Wednesday that he expects that the border-crossing by former first lady Lee Hee-ho will contribute to thawing inter-Korean relations.

During a regular meeting among veteran members of Saenuri, Kim showed his respect to the 92-year old Lee for taking a trip to Pyongyang to help improve relations between the two Koreas.

Kim said he expects that Lee will return with a substantial outcome that can lead to the turn-around of inter-Korean relations, such as the resumption of inter-Korean talks or the expansion of humanitarian aid for the North.
