N. Korean Military Holds Anti-US Rally

The North Korean military held a major anti-U.S. rally on Friday, three days before the 62nd anniversary of the signing of the Korean War ceasefire. 

The North's official Korean Central News Agency said that the rally attended by the Army, Navy and Air Force took place near the Liberation Tower in Pyongyang.
 
A large number of military leaders also attended the event including Hwang Pyong-so, director of the General Political Bureau of the Korean People's Army, as well as Defense Minister Pak Yong-sik and Ri Yong-gil, head of the General Staff of the Korean People's Army.
 
In a speech, Ri hailed the North Korean military as heroic troops who shattered the myth of U.S. power for the first time in the world.
 
He stressed that the grand task of realizing Korean unification is the military's sacred duty.
