North Korea has criticized remarks President Park Geun-hye made at a meeting with members of a committee on preparing for a potential reunification with North Korea.
 
The North’s Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of the Fatherland said Wednesday that the president should know that she is responsible for rupturing inter-Korean relations and that she should discard her willingness for a face-off.
 
The committee's spokesperson said the North did all it could this year to bring reconciliation and unity, but the South Korean government responded by holding joint military exercises with a foreign power and accusing the North of proposing unfair preconditions.
 
President Park said at the meeting last Friday that the South Korean government is always open to dialogue and cooperation with the North and is waiting for the North to come to the dialogue table.
