S. Korea Lifts Typhoon Alert, Maintains Strong Wind Warning

Typhoon Chan-hom, which reached North Korea's Hwanghae Province from the West Sea overnight on Sunday, has weakened near Pyongyang at around 6 a.m. Monday due to a tropical depression.
 
The Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA) has lifted its typhoon alert but is maintaining strong wind warnings on the west coast in Incheon, Gyeonggi Province and South Chungcheong Province as well as the southern coast in Busan and Ulsan.
 
The KMA forecast five to 20 millimeters of additional rain in the central region which will mostly let up by Monday night.
 
It also cautioned that there will be strong waves on the western and southern coasts.
