N. Korea Threatens to Cancel Ex-First Lady's Air Travel to Pyongyang

North Korea has taken issue with South Korean media coverage of a new airport in Pyongyang, warning that the former South Korean First Lady Lee Hee-ho's planned visit to Pyongyang next month could be canceled.

North Korea's Asia-Pacific Peace Committee said in a spokesman's statement on Wednesday that it is a provocative move by South Korean media to argue that the North is trying to promote its new airport in the capital city through the former first lady's planned air travel.

The North added that it is up to the South Korean government on when the rare trip takes plus, but threatened to cancel should Seoul continue its provocations.
