Rival Leaders to Discuss Joint Measures on MERS

Rival party leaders will hold talks Sunday to discuss joint bipartisan measures against the Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) outbreak.

Chairman Moon Jae-in of the main opposition New Politics Alliance for Democracy (NPAD) is said to have first proposed the need for nonpartisan cooperation against the MERS spread, which the ruling Saenuri Party chief Kim Moo-sung accepted.

The talk will also be attended by Saenuri floor leader Yoo Seung-min and the party's MERS task force chair Lee Myoung-su. Their NPAD counterparts, floor leader Lee Jong-kul and MERS task force chief Choo Mi-ae will also attend the talks.
