S. Korea, China, Japan Attend WHO-CC Meeting on Vaccine Quality Control

South Korea, China and Japan gathered in Tokyo to discuss ways to improve quality control of vaccines.

The three nations attended the World Health Organization Collaborating Center (WHO-CC) conference set for Monday and Tuesday in Tokyo.

The conference is aimed at establishing a cooperation system for joint research on unusual infectious diseases reported in Asia. The next meeting is set for 2016 in South Korea.

In the Tokyo conference, the participants will discuss ways to establish a joint research system among the three nations to proactively respond to regional and global epidemics such as avian influenza and Ebola virus. They will also discuss measures to expand trilateral cooperation to enhance quality control of vaccines.
