KT and the Korean Red Cross agreed to jointly set up a disaster response system to monitor emergency situations and provide relief.

Under the business cooperation pact signed Wednesday, the two sides will establish an imaging system which can monitor disaster scenes in real time and supply information to LTE-based radios.

A KT official said the latest agreement is aimed at systematically improving the overall disaster relief process by utilizing the infrastructure of Korean Red Cross combined with KT's expertise in the field of information technology.
