A skeleton of a small carnivorous dinosaur has been found in Hadong, South Gyeongsang Province.

The National Cultural Properties Research Institute said Monday that a well preserved fossil of a theropod dinosaur was found in the stratum of the Cretaceous period of the Mesozoic Era in the region.

The institute said that the body length of the dinosaur is believed to have been less than 50 centimeters. 

The institute added that theropod fossils which have been found in the nation were mostly partial, but it is the first time that a complete skeleton was found with the skull and the lower jaw intact.
