NASA, JAXA to Join Korean Space Scientists at Jeju Symposium

The fifth Lunar Exploration Symposium will open in Jeju Island on Wednesday. 
 
Researchers from the U.S. National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) and the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) will attend the symposium.
 
At the event hosted by the Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning and an association of 15 government-subsidy research institutes, NASA will introduce some of its ongoing projects.
 
Researchers from JAXA are expected to introduce their lunar exploration projects, the SELENE-1 and SELENE-2, along with their scientific significance. 
 
Korean scholars will also introduce new trends in space robotics.
 
On the sidelines of the symposium, Korean and U.S. participants will discuss cooperation in lunar exploration.
