A domestic research institute has released ten most promising technologies for the next decade.

The Korea Institute of Science and Technology Information on Tuesday announced the ten technologies at the Emerging Tech Seminar at the Convention and Exhibition Center (COEX) in southern Seoul.

The ten promising technologies ibioclude treatment for autoimmune diseases, biomimetic robots, cloud computing security, optogenetics, 4D printing, unmanned transportation, intelligent transportation systems and lithium-sulfur batteries.

The institute said that it selected technologies that will likely have enormous economic and social effects over the next ten years.
