S. Korea Has Highest Breast Cancer Incidence Rate Among East Asian Countries

South Korea was found to have the highest breast cancer incidence rate among East Asian countries.
 
According to a report issued by the Korean Breast Cancer Society on Thursday, the number of breast cancer patients in South Korea surged to 52-point-one women per 100-thousand in 2012 from the 38-point-nine per 100-thousand posted in 2008.
 
As a result, for the first time, South Korea surpassed Japan to rank first in having the highest incidence rate of breast cancer among East Asian countries. In Japan, the number of people with breast cancer stood at 51-and-a-half per 100-thousand in 2012.
